PALS (Poultry and Livestock Supplies) is a retailer and service provider of equipment, feed, and medication distributed within the poultry and hog industry, located on the West side of Willmar, MN.

PALS is seeking a full-time Purchasing & Sales Representative to join their team.  This individual is primarily responsible for developing and effectively managing the performance of all animal health sales and purchasing activities. PALS (Poultry and Livestock Supplies) is a retailer and service provider of equipment, feed, and medication distributed within the poultry and hog industry, located on the West side of Willmar, MN.

Develop action plans and sales strategies to buy and sell product for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Purchase high quality merchandise at the best possible price and in correct amounts to meet the needs of customers and inquire about current vendor promotions. Obtain suppliers marketing and promotional opportunities available for PALS. Collaborate with sales staff to achieve the desired level of performance and contribute to the long-term growth of PALS. Provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance. Provide superior internal and external customer support. Investigate and resolve customer issues and disputes.  Serve as on-site point of contact for internal and external customers.  Answer questions or refer concerns by communicating proactively and demonstrating commitment to high quality service. Plan and help develop company marketing and communication materials, sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs to penetrate new markets. Promote PALS products at conventions and trade shows. Control expenses to meet budget guidelines. Adhere to all company and industry policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Hog and poultry industries knowledge is a plus. Customer service orientation, exhibit sound business judgement, be flexible and have determination. Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and interact productively with all levels of employees, and internal and external customers. Knowledge of basic accounting. Strong time management and organization skills, along with attention to detail. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Valid MN driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record required.
