Every year, the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association (MTGA) joins the North Central Poultry Association for Poultry Day at the Capitol in St. Paul. Together, the two organizations advocate legislative priorities to lawmakers. This one-day event is important for giving voice to Minnesota turkey farmers and the industry to decision-makers. Help us make your voice heard. Register today!

We will gather at the capitol at a main meeting room. This year, that room is 116C in the Administration Building. Attendees should plan to arrive around 9:30am. In the main meeting room, agency leaders will periodically come in to address attendees and have conversations about their agency and the turky industry, see the agenda below.
Also, throughout the day, there will be small group meeting scheduled with legislators at their offices. Be prepared to spend some time walking between the Administration Building, the Senate Building, Cenntential Office Building (where the House members have temporary offices), and the Capitol. The schedule of legislative meetings and the groups assigned to each meeting will be made availale the of the event. Legislators' schedules can be difficult and ever changing, so we will need to be flexible.
Note: The House Ag Committee and the Senate Ag Committee may have meetings on the same day and attendees are encouraged to attend if they are able. Details about those committees will be made available once we know more.
If you have any questions about the day or what is expected, please contact the MTGA office at info@minnesotaturkey.com or call (763) 682-2171.
