Poultry Day at the Capitol

Every year, the Minnesota Turkey Growers Association (MTGA) joins the Chicken and Egg Association of Minnesota for Poultry Day at the Capitol in St. Paul. Together, the two organizations advocate legislative priorities to lawmakers. This one-day event is important for giving voice to Minnesota turkey farmers and the industry to decision-makers. Help us make your voice heard. Register today!

Virtual for 2021

Poultry Day at the Capitol was January 27, 2021. All meetings were held virtually this year, so participants joined from the comfort of their home or office space. The lawmakers want to hear from their constituents which means YOU! Your experiences and stories are the most powerful.

What to Expect

Prior to the meetings, you will receive our list of legislative priorities. We will also host a briefing session where you will have a chance to ask questions and learn about the legislative process. Attendees for this virtual event will also receive a Zoom link for meetings with lawmakers. Meetings with legislators typically last 15 to 30 minutes. During the meetings, it is your chance to voice your concerns and be heard.

Please register today and indicate when you are available for meetings.

If you have any questions about the day or what is expected, please contact the MTGA office at info@minnesotaturkey.com or call (763) 682-2171.
