Shane has spent most of his life raising turkeys. His dad,Adolf, started Richmond Turkey Farm in 1975, and Shane has continued workingwith his family to raise 100,000 heavy toms each year. Outside of raisingbirds, Shane enjoys golfing in the summer and playing in a pool leaguethroughout the winter.
We asked Shane what his best advice is for a young growerand he said: “The best advice that I have received is pay attention to thesmall things in farming because they usually pay dividends.”
